My Dear comrade  Jude Francis

From your KZN comrades in Gauteng I bring our  warmest fraternal greetings!

Reflecting on our shared journey, I’m reminded of the decades we, and so many others from Chatsworth and beyond, fought tirelessly against the tyranny of apartheid.  You were a young man then, in the prime of your life, bravely choosing to take up arms against the apartheid state.  Despite the immense risks, your unwavering commitment to freeing South Africa from oppression never faltered.  You prioritized the suffering masses, making incredible sacrifices for our people’s liberation. Your courage and resilience stemmed from a deep love and concern for those who faced daily humiliation in their own land. Your kindness, generosity, and warmth are a testament to your character – you remain a simple, humble, and deeply disciplined comrade.

The history of Chatsworth’s struggle would be incomplete without your story. You are one of the finest revolutionaries I’ve had the privilege of fighting alongside.

On this auspicious day, your 60th birthday, may the year ahead bring you joy and happiness.  Happy 60th, Comrade! Enjoy your well deserved  retirement Lieutenant Francis.  You served our country and our people with great distinction.

With much love and affection

Long live the spirit of our MK soldiers.
