Dear Neville and Rodney
Accepting the sudden and untimely passing of a parent is one of life’s deepest challenges. Yet Baba reminds us that the body is but a garment—and the soul, eternal. Your Dad, in his own quiet and graceful way, laid this garment down on 14 November 2025 and returned to his true home, to the Divine Source, and to the Lotus Feet of his beloved Master, Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba.
He lived a life shaped by trials and tribulations, but he faced every one of them with courage, faith, and a profound inner strength—a reflection of his unwavering devotion. The values Baba instilled—Truth, Right Conduct, Peace, Love, and Non-violence—were not mere words to him; they were principles he lived by daily. From these, he built a strong, loving, and spiritually anchored family.
I have known Dad and his siblings for most of my adult life. They came from a lineage of goodness and integrity. As the eldest, he carved out a professional path where he excelled, but his heart always yearned for independence. With faith as his compass and perseverance as his companion, he fulfilled his dream of owning his own business. His entrepreneurial flair, creativity, and innovative mind were gifts he used with humility and purpose.
At his core, he was gentle, sincere, and deeply humble—reflections of the Master he revered. Quiet giving was his way; silent service was his nature. He gave without expectation, in the spirit of Nishkama Seva—selfless service—which Baba so often emphasised. His benevolence knew no bounds, and he served humanity without ever drawing attention to himself.
Family was precious to him. He often spoke with glowing pride about you and Rodney, and he cherished each milestone you achieved. And always beside him stood Mum—a pillar of strength, devotion, and sacrifice. Much of what Dad achieved bears the unmistakable imprint of her love and support.
I will always remember the warmth of his friendship and the encouragement he offered us in our efforts to create a kinder and more conscious world. In him, Baba’s teachings found a sincere and living example.
Though Dad is no longer present in physical form, his spirit—pure, indomitable, and saturated with devotion—lives on in you, in Rodney, in your children, and in all whose lives he touched. Baba reminds us: “Why fear when I am here?” May this truth bring you comfort and strength in the days ahead.
My deepest sympathies go to Mum and the greater Naidoo family.
May Ravi’s light continue to shine and may his soul rest ever at the Master’s Lotus Feet.
With heartfelt condolences,
Siva Naidoo
